Build Season Week 2

In this week’s update: things have been going swimmingly! Design has perfected our CAD, and it is now O-fish-ally Fin-ished.

Now that CAD is done, on the mechanical side of things manufacturing has begun. We have students getting components 3D printed and milled!

Electrically speaking, we’ve been studying last season’s bot L.E.D. Zeppelin so that we can optimize this year’s e-plate. With our orders, components are being labeled and prepped for the bot.

In our programming news, we’ve been testing the limelight, setting up the autonomous period for our robot, and resolving potential mechanical issues.

Operation Wise, we are done drafting our merch designs for this season and have begun vectorizing for production. In the world of Outreach, we have begun planning for a free summer program and are excited to get some pilot days planned with our friends Lancer Robotics.

Our Mitty Intramural Robotics Team ( MIR) has had their kickoff, and have begun to build their kit bots. Over the next few weeks, they will work to modify, test, and perfect them before we hold our annual mini regional in the lab.

Week Two-na is now finished, and we’re swimming in productivity, and we’re keeping things afloat!
